Which Players to Take into the Arena?
Tip #1 Get to Know Your Cards
For players of any skill level, knowing which 5 players to take into the Arena can be the difference between a crucial win or devastating loss. Some managers will select a formation and then try and find the players best suited, whilst others will try and find a formation that suits their best players.
Therefore getting to know your players is one of the most important parts of selecting your formation. Pay attention to the stats on the cards and what role they play within the Arena (read more about player roles here). Also, make a note of what special abilities they have. The more you become familiar with your players, knowing which work well with one another and in a particular formation, the more chance you’ll have of succeeding within the Arena.
Tip #2 Make Small Changes
This goes hand-in-hand with the earlier tip. To figure out the best players that work together and within a particular formation, you should make very small changes. Take out one or two players and play a few games in the Arena to see what impact it has. If you make numerous player changes it will become difficult to see what does and doesn’t work.
Tip #3 Good Tactics Are Balanced
You might be tempted to go very attacking with 1-0-3 for example, but if you don’t have a strong keeper or choose the right defender whose role suits the formation, then you could find yourself letting in quite a few goals! Therefore balance your formation with the right players.
Tip #4 Join a League
If you are in a League you will be able to challenge other clubs to a friendly. This is an ideal test environment as you can try out new players and formations without losing any trophies if you lose the game.
